While studying music at Indiana University, Chuck Ainlay decided he wanted to pursue the art of recording, He worked his way up through the traditional studio ranks, paving the way for his career as one of today's most prominent independent engineers. His work with diverse list of artists ranges from George Strait to Dire Straits. Ainlay's engineering has been honored by The Recording Academy with multiple Grammy awards; 2006 both a Grammy and TEC Award for Best Surround Album, 2007 Grammy Best Pop Instrumental, 2009 Best Country Album.. Many within the audio industry regard Ainlay as a leader in cutting edge technology. His pioneering efforts in 5.1 Surround sound have been acknowledged by his peers and his command of the technology has been well documented in audio publications worldwide.
