---------------------- Remove PC-90 Software: ---------------------- 1. Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel /Add/Remove Programs. 2. Scroll down to UnLexiconPC90 or Lexicon Studio PC90 plugin. Depending on the version currently installed one of the names mentioned above will appear in the Add/Remove Programs list. 3. Click the Add/Remove button. 4. Click the Yes button when asked "Are you sure you want to completely remove the program and all of its components?". 5. Click OK to close the control panel. 6. Run the SETUP.EXE file extracted from the VxxxPlugins.exe file and continue with these instructions. !IMPORTANT!: If Windows should fail to execute the removal and report an error please refer to the troubleshooting section of this document. --------------------- Update Studio Driver: --------------------- If you have a CD-ROM or have downloaded Lexicon Studio drivers with a higher revision number than those currently installed in your system, you should choose to update your driver. To do so, follow the directions below. 1. Go to Start / Settings / Control Panel / System. 2. Click on the 'Device Manager' tab.. 3. Open the directory for 'Sound, Video and Game Controllers. 4. Highlight 'Lexicon IDS Sound System' by clicking on it. 5. Click the Properties button. 6. Select the 'Driver' tab within the Properties page. 7. Click the U pdate Driver... button. 8. Windows will ask you if you wish it to search for the driver. Select 'Yes (Recommended)'. 9. Windows will search whichever drive from which a driver was last loaded. If you installed drivers from floppy disk, it will check only the floppy drive. If you have loaded the updated drivers from different media, you will need to click the Other Locations... button and Browse to the CD-ROM for the new driver. 10. Click the Finish button. 11. Windows will prompt you to restart now. It is best to cold boot your computer at this time. ================ Troubleshooting: ---------------- The automated Windows plugin removal will fail if the files are not in their original paths specified during the installation. If Windows can not remove 'UnlexiconPC90' or 'Lexicon Studio PC90 plugin' via the add/remove program dialog box then the files must be removed manually. To locate the files use the Windows Find program. (Start>Find>Files or Folders) Note: If the PC90 plugins are removed manually and not via add/remove programs, the PC90 setup name 'UnlexiconPC90' or 'Lexicon Studio PC90 plugins' will remain on the add/remove program list.
